Finally....

I am sorry for the delay in getting Halloween photos on the site. Between school and Elizabeth's schedule the past few weeks have been way too busy for our household. We seriously need things to slow down a bit, but alas....the holidays are here and we all know what that means. Halloween started out with a quick, and wet as usual, homecoming trip to Clemson for mommy and little guy. We all met up after I got home from class for some much needed candy scavenging. Here's a few pictures.

Too Quiet?

You know, sometimes Elizabeth and I actually get a chance to sit on the couch together and watch TV. Such a time happened last week, with our little buddy playing somewhere near by. As we started to get really pulled into the NCIS episode we were watching, we noticed that our son was really quiet. As a matter of fact neither one of us knew where he was. This is never good for our household and the age bracket of the little guy. For you parents out there with toddlers you know what I'm talking about. This is a time of playing in the toilet, playing in the dogs' bowls, climbing in the tub fully clothed and turning the water on, and various other things. You get my drift...it's usually not good when he gets quiet. So, as we normally do, we split up and searched the house. Elizabeth found him first and here's what we saw....

He was probably calling Grandma.

Just Another Pretty Face....

Do not let this pretty face fool you. Over the summer, this face was one of pure mischief. As many of us know, the life and times of our beloved pets are never dull. Many of us have numerous stories that we can share where our pets, however sweet, have somehow got into a situation that has left us furious, or so amused we can't wait to tell our friends. One such story happened this summer while I was sleepily hanging out with the boys this summer. Elizabeth was gone on one of her multiple vacations with our son and I was left at home to go to work. One night as the boys and I were watching an entertaining episode of whatever on the boob tube, Ty decides to go to Maximus' bed and start chewing on his bone. For the longest time (maybe 40 minutes or so) this did not phase Maximus in the least. He continued to lie there on the floor pretending to be asleep. Well speaking of pretending, he suddenly gets up from his comatose slumber and rushes to the front door. As he is looking out the front door, he continues to huff and puff and let out little barks as if something is outside worthy of attention. Of course, this can't be done without Ty joining in on the fun. Ty immediately gets out of the bed and relinquishes the bone to join Maximus at the front door. Aha....Maximus had Ty right where he wanted him. He knew Ty would investigate the bogus situation outside long enough for him to return to his bed and his bone. Maximus immediately turns away from the door, goes to the bed and starts enjoying his bone. Maximus is not as dumb as he looks everybody. He knows how to get his way. I dread the day when he figures out how to do this trick to Elizabeth and me.
